We were very lucky.  We had no real damage, no injuries, and we still had running water thanks to backup generators that ran the well pumps at our condo complex.  We even had hot water for showering and gas for cooking, and we have a fireplace that we hardly ever used but it got a workout over the last week.  But there was no heat, no lights, no internet except for intermittent cell phone service, no TV (but DVDs and videos on my laptop when I could find a place to charge the battery were nice), no land line ph
